Blessings

Isn't it amazing how God blesses us? We don't always understand or know where He is going with things in life, but he reveals it to us in the end. Watch and listen without judgement. Thank you God for the blessings you bestow on us each and every day.

Sweet Spirit

Today in the midst of sadness there was a sweet sweet spirit. My husband's uncle passed away earlier this week. Today was his funeral. The funeral was at a little country church in which he had attended for years.

In the most grim of times, I could not believe how I felt the overwhelming presence of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The men from the funeral home had the family wait downstairs in the church. As I leaned against a wall, I noticed a tapestry hanging in front of me. The tapestry read, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2."

I started thinking about that verse and that little country church. You see this church was built in 1938. It was simple and sweet. In these fast paced, technological times we get away from the real reason we are here and what our jobs are while we are here on this earth for a brief while. Maybe we need to simplify our lives.

It is my prayer that I do not conform to this world, but that I may conform to the perfect will of my Lord and Savior. Thank you Jesus for your presence. Oh how I felt your sweet spirit today.

Love your child,

Melissa

Lucy

The other day I was leaving a local retail store when all of the sudden I heard "Merry Christmas" coming from my right. As I looked over, I saw this young couple with a box of puppies to be given away.

Of all times, I had my youngest three daughters with me. Of which the youngest two have been begging for a puppy. They even asked "Santa" for one. My immediate response was "No!" Naturally, they started to cry. So what did I do? I called their dad. I just knew he would say no and I could pass the blame. To my surprise, he said "yes."

We brought her home and named her Lucy. Just think, I thought I was done cleaning poop and pee. No more potty training, or so I thought. I must be crazy for leaving that store with that puppy, because I am now back to square one. Only, this time it is with a puppy. lol

God Bless,

Melissa

Introduction

Hi! I'm Melissa. I am a Christian wife and mother of four daughters. They are 18, 11, 7 and 4. I'm sure you can only imagine life in a house of all that estrogen. lol....I hope to share many stories with you. I am all ears at home, but somehow they don't hear me. I am hoping that you all will be my ears. I guess I am trying to say that I need to share thoughts and experiences with other Christian mothers. Raising children can be so fast paced that we forget to slow down and have a laugh or a cry together regarding our experiences as mothers. I look forward to hearing from you.

In Christ,

Melissa
